Welder Level 2
The Welder Level 2 performs both MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless-steel components with intermediate to advanced proficiency. The position requires the ability to work from complex blueprints, fabricate custom parts, and ensure compliance with inKey Responsibilities:
Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel to precise tolerances.
Read and interpret detailed fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
Perform welds in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
Conduct quality control checks, including dimensional verification and basic NDT preparation.
Assist in developing jigs, fixtures, and process improvements.
Maintain welder logs, repair records, and consumable usage documentation.
Qualifications:
2+ years of professional welding experience or equivalent technical training.
Proficient in MIG and TIG processes on carbon and stainless steel.
Familiarity with ASME and AWS welding standards preferred.
Strong understanding of welding metallurgy and heat-affected zones.
Physical Requirements:
Lift 50+ lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for long durations in shop and field environments.ternal and customer quality standards.
